About David Shane
David Shane is a strategist specializing in corporate positioning and issues management. He has advised some of the world's most prominent media and entertainment companies.
Prior to founding Resolution, Shane was chief communications officer for the largest independent film and television studio in Hollywood where he oversaw global corporate communications across all divisions, including theatrical, television, sports, music, and branded entertainment. Earlier, he was vice president of communications at Comcast where he was the primary spokesperson for the company's largest operating division at the time with $8 billion in annual revenue. Shane was the youngest corporate vice president in the company’s history.
In the technology sector, Shane led global corporate external communications for Hewlett-Packard, then the world's largest technology company. At HP, Shane managed communications for nearly $20 billion in M&A and corresponding regulatory issues. He began his career as a researcher in the Political Unit at CBS News in Washington, D.C. under correspondent Lesley Stahl.
Shane holds a B.A. in communications from the University of Pennsylvania. He is an Emmy Award winner and a guest lecturer on communications at New York University.
